Individual Coaching

I coach leaders who feel stuck with their status quo and don’t know how to move forward. Coaching might be right for you if:

  • You want to be a more impactful leader and are unsure how to move forward?
  • You want to find more fulfillment in your career?
  • You dislike your current job and don’t want to leap and regret the decision?
  • You believe there has to be something more to life than this?

Everyone’s story is unique. Sometimes a story is full of frustration and dissatisfaction. Other times, there’s nothing wrong, but you find yourself longing for something more. Whatever your story, coaching can help you get more out of your career and life.

It’s time to claim your freedom!

What can coaching do for you?

Coaching is a process designed to support your goals. As a result of an investment in coaching you might experience:

  • A new sense of freedom, by being aware of how you are creating your reality
  • An increase in your impact as a leader, by understanding and enhancing your most powerful self
  • Making big decisions with less churn
  • A higher resiliency for whatever life might throw your way
  • A return to enjoying your life and career more fully

Everyone’s experience from coaching is as unique as the process they engage in during our relationship. While your mileage may vary, here’s what some of my clients are saying about my coaching:

Mike is easy going, funny, down to earth, trusting, and a great listener. He makes you think really hard and helps you dig down to the source of issues and coaches you for the solution.

I highly recommend Mike as a personal coach.

Are you ready to go after what you want?

What is coaching?

Coaching is a relationship used to support the work you will do in pursuit of your goals. Coaching is most effective when the coach works with the whole person. Working with the whole person means that we can go into any aspect of your life you take us. Coaching is not therapy, nor counselling as I assume there is nothing wrong with you. In fact, I believe you already have the answers and you just need to get out of your way. Coaching helps you build a deeper awareness of your story, which builds resiliency for you to continue moving forward.

Coaching can address specific personal projects, business endeavours, or general conditions in your life or profession. It’s relatively common for a client to start by wanting to work on something career-related. However, we end up working on something personal, as one part of your life might be impacting another.

Want to know more? Give coaching a try as it’s the best way to understand coaching.

How does Coaching work?

Coaching is a confidential conversation between you and your coach. Each coaching session starts with a topic you bring. We then work through your topic. At the end of the session, you leave with a new direction or insight to help you move towards your goals.

In each coaching conversation:

  • You set the agenda, and I keep you on track to achieving what you need
  • We explore your topic and you decide where the conversation goes
  • We celebrate your accomplishments and the places you find new clarity
  • You leave with something to think about, or an action to keep you moving forward between our sessions
Over the past year in working with Mike, I have grown so much as person and have gotten to know myself, and those around me, much better.  Mike gave me a framework on which to build, and helped me learn a new language, one of responsibility, personal values, and self discovery.  I am now engaged with my life, living it intentionally, doing the things I want and choose to do.
I recommend Mike as a coach without hesitation!

Would coaching work for you?

Truthfully, the best way to understand coaching is to experience it for yourself. Book a free introductory session to explore how coaching might work for you.

Your Coaching Process

Everyone experiences the coaching process in their own way. We will design our relationship to maximize the needs of your process. Clients typically achieve their goals within six months of starting coaching with me. I recommend meeting bi-weekly for an hour.

Step 1 – Program design & getting to know yourself better

You will complete three assessments to provide baseline information for our work together:

    • Personality Dimensions – How does your personality type impact how you see the world and yourself
    • Positive Intelligence – What saboteurs play a significant role in your life by holding you back
    • Core Values – What’s important to you as the values guide your decision making

In addition, you will learn The Responsibility Process® to increase your awareness of the mindsets contributing to the ways you do, and do not, take responsibility in your life.

Step 2 – Exploring and revealing

In this part of the program, we will work towards your goals. In each session, I expect you to bring a topic for us to work through. Some topics are places where you’re feeling stuck. However, it’s also possible to work on topics where things are great, and you want more of it.

Step 3 – Anchoring and moving into the future

In the last couple of sessions in your coaching program, we’ll spend time reviewing the work you’ve done. This activity is essential to anchoring your results and launching you into whatever comes next for you.

Sound interesting?

Mike has helped me take better control of where I want my life to go by using my internal saboteurs for good, by understanding my values, and by helping me see that some of the habits I thought were helping me were hindering me.  While I’m still on my journey, I look to Mike for help when I’m stuck or when I just need a new way of framing my situation.  If you’re looking for a coach to walk with you to the starting point of your own path, or maybe just be there when you step off the path for a bit into the wilderness, Mike is the coach for you.  I recommend him wholeheartedly.

I am often asked, “Do you think coaching could work for me.” It’s a great question, and only you know the answer. That said, I believe coaching can benefit everyone. It’s why I continue to work with my own coach. The best way to find your answer, though, is to spend some time with a coach.
