A couple of weeks ago, I found myself developing a scratchy throat. Then, I had the chills pretty bad one day. Finally, the next day it hit me. I had muscle aches and was feeling flush.

The good news is it seems to have been a cold. Phew! I noticed, though, that I worried about the perceptions of others. At first, I didn’t want people to know I was sick.

My anxiety is natural, yet it only adds to the stress of being sick. Make it safe for others to talk about how they’re feeling. They’re more likely to do what’s right to ensure their safety and yours. Talking about how they’re feeling will ease some of the anxiety, which will help them recover sooner.

Supporting each other does make a difference. It’s what teams do.

You’ve got this.
