I was struck by this Fast Company article, and how researchers have found that females and junior employees are more likely to feel the effects of zoom fatigue.

I’m not surprised by this due to the inequity of the need to look good. However, that’s another post.

What struck me is that the author said this is particularly problematic when managers require their employees to have their camera turned on as a means of keeping track of their employees.

If this is true for you, you don’t have a problem with Zoom fatigue on your team. Instead, you have a problem stemming from a lack of trust.

Start by examining what has you not trusting them. When you do this, I’m reasonably sure you’ll start seeing why they don’t want to turn on their cameras.

You’ve got this.
