There’s nothing normal about business these days. People are working from home while juggling work, child care, school work, pet care and more.

For the moment, people are not as productive as they were a few weeks ago. To expect otherwise is unrealistic, and you will pay the price through quality, morale and more.

Now is a time for a little patience. Connect with people to find out how they’re doing. Enjoy the interruptions with family and pets. Find new ways to communicate and do the work together.

One day we will discover we’re working in a new normal. It won’t be like it was, and I’m willing to bet it’ll be better. It’s just how we humans live.
