I once had a leader tell me about all the bad decisions his team was making. He went on to tell me how he is always on his phone to ensure things do not fall off the rails. He was frustrated and tired.

If you share a similar story, you may want to ask do people know where they are going? Better yet, do they know why they are going there? It is not enough to tell them once or put it on a wall. You need to talk about it all the time.

They are going to make up their own story if they don’t know where they are going. Wouldn’t you rather they were working with the right story?
