Are carefully crafted words and impactful speeches a measure of leadership? Words are important. However, the words of a leader are not the best measure of their leadership.

The true measure of leadership is the action you inspire. People are pushing through their fears and trying something new. Teams are rising to the occasion and reaching incredible new heights. People doing things they did not think was possible.

Sometimes the best words are no words at all. So, don’t worry about having all the right words. Stay true to your values and principles, and you will know the right words to say.

Enjoy watching the action your leadership inspires. And, if you do create a mess on occasion, clean it up and try again. That is what great leaders do.
