As a leader, I never know what I’m going to learn about myself today. I learn when something scares me. I learn when I take a misstep and create a mess. I also learn, of course, when I have a big success. I am always learning something about myself.
While learning is important, it is useless if I don’t notice it. This is one of the reasons I have a habit of journaling. Journalling allows me time to reflect and notice what has happened.
Journalling is simple and involves making a little space in your calendar every day. To journal, put your pen on the paper and write until you run out of words. It is that simple.
If you don’t journal already, try it for a few weeks. You might be surprised by what you write.
You’ve got this.
