I’m proud of my weight loss for the last number of years. One of the contributing factors was shifting my mindset around exercise from needing to wanting. This mindset shift took me from obligation to responsibility.
In work, there are likely things you are required to do. One person might grumble and do the bare minimum. Another person might do an excellent job with the same task. The difference is in the mindset of the two people.
One person might be trapped, thinking, “I can’t believe they’re making me do this.” The other person might be thinking, “I want to work here, so I’ll do my best with it. Then, I’ll work on influencing some change.”
