I love the writing process and consider myself a good writer. When I get into the flow of writing, the words seem to come to me without any effort.
Yet, there are days when it seems I can’t form a sentence.
On those days, I notice that something is making me anxious, upset, or distracted. My emotional self is stopping my creative self from doing something I’ve done hundreds of times!
It can be uncomfortable to experience and talk about emotions. However, buried feelings can become a toxin within a team.
Make it safe for people to let their emotional selves show. Make it safe to talk about emotions.
It might be the key to being a better team.
