Last week I had a down day. I don’t know if it was a bit of a cold, cabin fever or a mental health kind of down. However, I struggled with staying focused all day.

I spent the day reading and thinking about work-related things. I had some pangs of guilt, though, for not doing a bunch of business development activities. Thankfully, I was able to let go of those feelings pretty quickly.

Remember — it’s ok for people to not be ok some days. When you notice one of your team members is having a bad day, ask them how you might support them. Trust them to know what they need. They might want to take the afternoon off or talk with you about how they’re feeling.

The good news is that most times, people don’t need you to fix anything. They simply want you to care about them. We’re all in this together, and together we are stronger.

You’ve got this.
