Every once in a while, I bump into managers that tell me their teams are too busy to spend time learning.
The obvious problem with this is they’re not bringing new knowledge into the organization. The lack of new knowledge and ideas will eventually cause teams to stagnate.
The other and likely more critical problem is that learning as a team will strengthen their connections, creativity, and collaboration ability.
So, if you believe you’re too busy to give teams room to learn, then perhaps it’s time to rethink what you believe.
Learning will help your team do more, do it better, and become a stronger team while they’re at it.
Carve out time every week for your team to learn together.
Then watch what they do.
You’ve got this.
