If you drive, there’s a good chance you’ve had a flat tire at some point. What’s it like trying to drive with a flat tire? Progress is challenging, if not impossible, with a flat tire.
What would you do with a flat tire? I’m guessing you’d pull over and change it. If you don’t, your trip will go slower, or you may not make it to your destination. Changing a tire will cost you a little time, but it’s the obvious answer to having a flat tire.
Why don’t we do this in business? How many problems do you put up with each week, in the name of meeting a deadline? How many problems do you shrug off saying, “that’s just the way it is?”
It might cost you a little time to slow down to get rid of the problems. However, how much faster will you move without the problem in your life?
You’ve got this.
I love this, the title and the message! It’s amazing what we tolerate for the sake of maintaining “momentum” or whatever we think we’re doing when we don’t slow down, and how much velocity can be gained once we pause and change (our “tires”).
Thanks Jennifer. You’ve reminded me I meant to give credit for the title to the Navy Seals.
