In the last couple of days, I’ve talked about letting go of the need to get things right. Don’t be afraid to get messy and do the things you’ve been putting off. In the past couple of years, I’ve noticed just how many times I get staled by comparing myself to someone else.
When you compare yourself to others, it’s easy to tell yourself you’re not good enough, ready, or capable. Truthfully, though, you are all of those things. The only person you need to compare yourself to is you.
Are you a better leader and person than you were yesterday, last week or year? I’m willing to bet you’re handling more challenging situations than you were back then. You’re progressing at precisely the right pace … yours.
Now that’s an accomplishment to be proud of!
You’ve got this.
