When was the last time someone thanked you for something you did? When was the last time you thanked someone else for something they did?

Thank-you is a simple way to acknowledge someone’s contribution. Thank-you is an acknowledgement that lets the other person know their actions or contributions matter, even if it’s turning down something (e.g. “No thank-you”). Without an acknowledgement, people will start wondering, “what’s the point,” and might stop offering as much to you.

When people do something, don’t forget to acknowledge them. A simple thank you for their contribution, gesture, or offer can mean a lot to them. Who knows, you might even make someone’s day with these two simple words.

You’ve got this.
