What I love about life and leadership, is you never know what you will find around the next corner. When you turn the corners, you have a choice to make. You can try to control what you find, or you can create something from it.

As a leader, I have learned just how much I/we can accomplish when I stop trying to control. My response starts with trusting what I see and feel. When I can trust what I believe, I know I can take effective action. It doesn’t mean I’ll always get it right, and then I can respond to what happens next.

The next time you are feeling trapped by circumstances look around. Your response to a circumstance is always a choice, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
