It’s not difficult to find people knowingly doing ineffective things. When asked, these same people will readily admit to the waste. These people often feel powerless to change anything, so continue to take ineffective actions.
As a leader, you want to look for ways the team can be more successful than yesterday. Talk to the team and find out what they are doing which seems like a waste of time. After all, it is the team who are the experts in what it takes to succeed.
