Things were off to a good start with your new team. Suddenly, though, it feels as if everything is an uphill battle. It seems as if people can’t share an idea without someone disagreeing.

This is when things start heating up as the team is storming. The storming happens because people are now sharing their thoughts but not listening to each other.

While uncomfortable, storming is an essential step for the team as they are learning to trust each other. The team is learning to be vulnerable and share their ideas. They’re starting to learn that it’s safe to share and talk about their ideas.
