Do you have moments where you’re ready to give up on something? Where you just want to walk away and go do something ‘easier’. I’ve had these moments, and it sucks when it happens.
When I find myself going there, I know it’s time to remind myself about what’s important to me. I think about my core values. I reflect on why I love the work I do. I think about all of the people whose lives are different because of our work together.
It’s easy to become discouraged and want to quit. When this happens, find a way to reconnect with what’s important to you. You might decide to quit. Or, you might decide to stay. I just know you’ll make the right decision when you know what’s important to you.
You’ve got this.
Great post Mike. Thanks for reminding us that we need to reconnect with our core values when we begin to self doubt
Thanks Charles. It really has become a place of regrounding myself of what’s important to me. So much easier to find a path forward from that place.
