No one knows as much as all of us do. The amount of time you remain stuck with a problem is proportional to the amount of time it takes you to ask for help.

Given this relationship between problems and help, why do so many companies have a culture where it is unsafe to ask for help? Asking for help is seen as a sign of weakness.

People need to feel safe to ask for help. Work with your team to figure out how long you can tolerate someone being stuck and unable to move.

The shorter the time before asking for help, the better. Asking for help will reduce the amount of time wasted with someone stuck on a problem.
