I once worked for a leader who talked – a lot. He seemed to be able to speak extensively on almost any topic. I remember one meeting where he went on for nearly an hour.

A leader’s job is to help others succeed. How do you expect to hear where you can help if you’re talking?

When it comes to talking, “less is more”. Talk long enough to get your point across. Then, ask a powerful question and stop talking.

You might hear they don’t understand. You might hear what has them stuck. Or, you might hear they just need you to get out of their way.

You’ve got this.
