The other day, I caught myself in an old habit. I was annoyed with myself as I worked hard to change the habit. Yet, here I was doing the same thing again.
The habit had been a significant burden in my life for many years. Four years ago, I decided it was time to shed myself of this habit. It wasn’t an easy task as I spent decades getting good at this habit.
As a leader, you are continually helping others succeed and grow. This means you’re going to help others confront and change habits that aren’t useful. Be patient, and remember that they’ve spent a long time perfecting their habits. It’ll take time to get rid of them.
You’ve got this.
