You’re walking along a sidewalk and trip over something. You suddenly find yourself lying on the sidewalk.

If falling is a failure while walking, then embracing failure might mean you’re going to stay down. Falling isn’t the important part — getting back up to continue moving is. You will learn something from the experience, but if you don’t get back up, what’s the point?

The same is true in leadership. Your team and you are going to fail at times. Learn from the failure, and take the opportunity to strengthen the ability to recover.
