Corporate objectives help establish a direction for a company. The challenge with objectives, though, is they’re often big or portraying a time far into the future.

For many people, they might be busy in their day to day jobs and don’t feel connected to the objectives. Despite this, don’t give people a reason to ignore the objectives. Share your objectives often, and don’t give people a reason to ignore them.

When sharing your goals, be careful about saying things like, “… I know it’s going to take a long time to reach these objectives, so don’t get too hung up on them today.”

Be affirmative in your language. Talk about objectives using language such as, “In everything you do, we are closer to meeting these objectives.”

When you keep objectives within reach, everyone will help move you closer.

You’ve got this.
