I keep coming to a place where I think I know what it means to have freedom. Then I learn something about myself and redefine my understanding of freedom.

You will not be free to be the fullest expression of yourself when you are fighting with yourself. When you fight with yourself, you will get in your own way and hold yourself back. You might even struggle to find happiness when fighting with yourself.

I know the cost of hanging on tight or trying to push something away. It is exhausting and left me searching for something. It had me doubting my own leadership.

You will only be able to lead others to the extent you lead yourself first. Everything you are holding on to, which prevents your freedom, will prevent theirs as well.

There are plenty of things you can do to increase your freedom, such as talking to a friend, journaling, meditation, hiring a coach and more. However, you find your way there, be gentle on yourself and keep finding more freedom.

You’ve got this.
