Do you ever find yourself in a debate where the other person seems unwilling to give up their perspective? You might label them as inflexible and unreasonable.

When another person seems inflexible, turn your attention towards yourself.

Often, such debates are rooted in your natural tendency to evaluate. When you evaluate, you put things in a good or bad category. With evaluation, it is too easy to get stuck in your perspective.

Being stuck in or pushing away other perspectives is hard work. You will struggle to find a middle ground when you are working so hard.

Try loosening your grip on your perspective. Look from a different perspective and get curious. You might find a middle ground that is better than either of your perspectives.
