In this time of virtual meetings, it strikes me that teams are going to be missing a meaningful connection. It’s the one which happens when someone walks into the room. Or, when you bump into them in the hallway.

“Nice socks.” Or, “I love your new haircut.” While this type of conversation might seem petty to some, it is a meaningful social connection. If a team is all business, they will have problems when things get tough.

There are plenty of things you can do to promote the social connection:

  • wacky sock day
  • reverse casual Friday (you dress up instead)
  • swag Wednesday (wear a conference T-shirt)

Keep the fun and social connection going, and your team will thrive!

You’ve got this.
