When groups are going through periods of change, there are often people labeled as resisting change. Resistors are the people refusing to go where everyone else is heading.

The effort to lead resistors is why I teach people to put the greatest focus on people who are quick to jump in and try new things.

However, don’t ignore the resistors. Resistors are an essential voice in your system. I see resistance as a sign there is an unmet need, rather than something with bad intention. A resistor’s unmet need may not be anything you can address, yet for them, it’s real.

It’s also possible; a resistor thinks you’re heading towards a cliff. Wouldn’t you want to know about the cliff they’re seeing?
