I can remember numerous times I dwelled on a Mistake I made. I would spend hours, if not days, in a mindset of shame,’ unable to move forward. I’d have thoughts like, “how could I be so stupid?!?”

The reality is we’re all human, and we’re imperfect at best. You can choose to let your mistakes define you. 0r, you can choose to learn from your mistakes and move forward.

The people you lead make mistakes. Your job is to help the people you lead not be defined by their mistakes. What if, instead, the people you lead grow from their mistakes. In other words, what if their mistakes are an opportunity rather than a problem.

Ask powerful questions. Show unbridled curiosity. Whatever you do, just never miss the opportunity to help them grow.
