Change is challenging. It’s why I frequently bump into leaders and teams who are waiting for a better time to make a change.
The question is, though, what would make another time better? Is it that they’re not as busy? Perhaps they’ll be in a new fiscal year. Maybe it’ll be after the vacation season.
Whatever the reason, there is no such thing as a better time. There is only this moment in time, and by the time later comes along, what you’re thinking of changing may not be applicable.
When you wait for a better day, you lose the opportunity to have a better day today.
So, stop waiting for a better day. Instead, what small improvement can you make today? If you make one small improvement every day, I bet you’ll find you’ve exceeded what you were holding for a better day.
You’ve got this.
