It can be challenging to receive criticism. You did your best, and yet apparently, it wasn’t good enough. You might find yourself getting a little defensive, or even angry about hearing a criticism.

Unless you plan to sit still, criticism is a normal part of life. Criticisms are a necessary part of human development. Without criticism, you might develop a blind spot for a problem area.

When someone offers you a criticism, remind yourself this person cares enough about you to share their thoughts. You do not need to agree nor do anything with what you heard. However, what if it’s even partly true? Wouldn’t you want to fix that?
