What’s the difference between a dandelion and forget-me-nots? Both plants have flowers. Both spread like wildfire. One we call a weed, and the other a flower.

It’s all about your perspective. Anything we don’t want, we call a weed. Anything we do want, we call a flower.

The behaviours, tendencies, and preferences of your team are the same.

The source of that judgement is found in your biases. That means the other person’s perspective might not see it the same way as you.

One of the jobs of a leader is to help people grow. Rather than judging them, have a conversation with them in which you can share and discuss your observations.

What if there’s nothing wrong with them? What if they’re perfect just like they are?
