How many times have you heard the expression, “but, that’s the way it has always been around here?” This simple statement is the battle cry of the status quo.

Leaders do not accept what we have is the best it can be. Leaders know what they care about. They are willing to get into the discomfort of being outside their comfort zone. Through their vulnerability, leaders help others become bigger versions of themselves. And, sometimes they fail along the way. Leaders do all of these things for the sake of going after what is important to them.

Despite everything it means to challenge the status quo, you might just be a leader if you challenge the status quo.
