February 23, 2016. That’s when I bought myself a recording microphone as I wanted to create a podcast. I remember being very excited at the thought of sharing something with the world in this way.

That was 369 days ago. Since that time the microphone has sat on the shelf collecting dust. There are lots of good reasons for why I have yet to start podcasting.

Do I have something people would find valuable? I’ll get to it when I’m not as busy. Would people want to listen to my voice? What if I screw up? What if I sound like a fool?!? Lots and lots of great little stories, and not one of them is a reason not to podcast.

Last week on my birthday I was challenged to do something that will make a difference and inspire people. It was at this moment; I realized I’m doing it again. I’m letting my saboteurs run my life, rather than just being bold and going for it. I’ve been waiting a year for a better day to start podcasting.

No more waiting for a better day as all I know for sure is I have today! If this is something I want to do, then it’s time to just do it and stop thinking so much.

This week’s thought:

What have you been putting off in your life while waiting for a better day?

Waiting for a better day to go for a long walk with the love of your life? Today is always an incredible day for a walk. Is your job sucking the life out of you, but you figure you’ll have time to live tomorrow? Choose to live today. Whatever it is, choose to do it today.

All we know for sure is that we have today. Yesterday is a thing of the past, and tomorrow certain. Stop waiting for tomorrow and make today count!

Today is a beautiful day, so no more waiting. Do that thing you’ve wanted to do for a long time.

It’s true I am now working on my podcast, and I will be recording the first episode very soon. I am very excited about this happening now, so please stay tuned as I will announce it’s availability right here.
