The law of attraction states that by focusing positive or negative thoughts, you can bring positive or negative events into your life.
I have been aware of this law for a while and have been forming my own beliefs around it. Is it possible for me to create a positive life by having more positive thoughts? If the law is real, then it means having a positive or negative life is a choice I make.
When crossing the border last week, I could have anticipated the officers were going to be in a grumpy mood. Instead, I decided I was going to have a nice conversation with the officers, and I did.
When entering a busy restaurant, I could have decided the staff wouldn’t have a lot of time for me. Instead, I decided I wanted to have a great relationship with the wait staff, and I did.
In driving to Toronto it’s all too easy to get frustrated with all the drivers who are in my way. Instead, I decided I was going to enjoy sharing the roadway with the other drivers. I enjoyed a beautiful, albeit slow, drive into the city.
When I approach my day and other people with a positive attitude it truly appears I attract positive things into my life.
Which makes me wonder; if a positive attitude attracts positive things, how did I attract the negative things?
Thought of the week
I believe in the law of attraction.
You can have a positive life simply by having more positive thoughts. As you go through your week try it out for yourself.
Before your commute, tell yourself how beautiful the drive is going to be. Then take the time to notice all the beautiful things happening on your way to work.
Greet everyone you meet with a smile. Ask them about their day and be genuinely interested in what they say. Wish them a beautiful day ahead as you leave them.
Having a positive or negative day is all about the choices you’re making. What are you going to choose?
How is it that the negative things happened? That’s easy. It’s you meeting your need for variety. If everything was rainbows and unicorns in your life, you would grow weak and bored. The negatives help us to appreciate the positives, help us to grow and give us variety. The positive thoughts will result in a predominantly positive life. At least that’s my two cents worth
