The other day I was washing down our back deck and became conscious of how privileged I am. I can turn a tap on and get safe drinking water anytime I want. And, here I am using that water to wash the deck.
How would a team member be impacted when they don’t feel privilege? Whether it’s safe drinking water, a stable home life, or the position they hold.
Privilege has an unconscious impact on how we see and interact with each other. It can enable, but privilege will often put up barriers to trust, collaboration, and teamwork.
