I rarely have a detailed plan when I am leading. I know where I want to end up. I have an idea of the steps I might use to get there. Yet, I have no details on what it is going to take to get there.

I believe when leading:

• I can put a lot of effort into planning, and things will still not go according to plan
• I can choose my response to anything that happens in my world, and no amount of planning will improve my responses
• I can clean up and create from any messes I make

Do something bold today. You might just learn you are a more powerful leader than you were giving yourself credit for.
